EDD +3

Well, no baby yet. Induction date of Monday April 7 is all set. Hopefully he'll arrive on his own before that!

EDD +2

Well, the learning for this morning was that vector analysis needs to occur in 3 dimensions, not on 2 on a piece of paper. There was too much force on the head and foot and they leaned in to each other, making one side 28 inches and the other side 27. Whoops. So Andrew popped them off the side and re rigged the whole thing and now they should dry parallel to each other. Golly geometry wasn't this hard in 10th grade! Or maybe it was and that explains what happened yesterday!

No baby yet, and no nifty pictures of me or Andrew. So in lieu of fun baby photos of our own, I'm supplying others!

EDD +1

And still pregnant.

I am actually feeling pretty good. I haven't been to the hospital in a couple of weeks! A record for my third tri. We are just waiting for him to show up!

Cradle progress!

I'm not very good at woodworking, but I do love sanding! It's very satisfying to have something all smooth and neat when you are done with it! This is me taking a Dremel sanding bit to the handle of the crib.

While doing it, I felt like I was decorating a cake!

This is the first glue together step. That is the foot of the cradle jigged to the side before we glued it. The cradle is a parallelogram, but not a rectangle. Ergo, Andrew and I had a long conversation about how to resolve an 8degree vector so that the foot would not come sliding off the base. Never did I think I would actually USE anything I learned in physics!

Both head and foot all glued to one side! This is one emergency trip to Home Depot later. We needed more clamps! There are two 2 1/2 foot bar clamps each plus three C clamps ( 1 extra deep) for the head, and a similar number for the foot. Plus, there is a homemade L shaped brace on each side. Plan is to glue the other side on tomorrow; glue the sides to the base tomorrow night, and stain it on Monday!

39 weeks

He is SUCH a bad cat. Are we taking bets on how long the mobile lasts?

Why yes, I am in fact the size of a house. But in good news, the baby dropped last night, and I can breath again! Hurrah! 40 weeks today, yet due tomorrow. No I don't understand it. Gonna miss the hair when it all falls out and becomes frizzy again though.
