Homesteading Feburary 2011

So, I broke out the knitting needles again after a long dry spell. I made a wool overnight diaper cover for the boys. It is really nice, and gives the boys plenty of room to wiggle.

Andrew brewed an oatmeal stout for me last weekend. Stout beer is good for nursing moms, and this should be ready about the time Molly is ready to make an appearance. We also figured out how to take the spent grains and incorporate them into our bread. It produces the most rich, delicious beer bread imaginable and full of fiber and protein!

Looks like the girls made it through the worst of winter ok. We cleaned the coop today and the girls got out and stretched. They were pretty awesome at digging up some of our dirt for us! Hopefully we will have a place to put peas in soon!

Haircut before and after

And you can see his brand new big boy bed in the corner. He's gotten a lot better at actually using it!

My how time flies!

Whoops! Been a while since I posted. We've been busy with snow, boys, snow, and pregnancy. Everything is going well here. Boys are growing and playing, pregnancy is going along beautifully, and if I don't see another flake of snow till 2012, that's ok by me.
